Book Activities

There are many places to have fun on the estate. The majority of the leisure facilities are free to use during your stay, and you can get most of the equipment from the front desk. Guests can book the facilities online or with a member of the front desk staff up to 48 hours in advance.


On the estate, you can go horseback riding. This must be booked in advance by calling 01333 340501, option 4, and talking to the stables directly.


During Scotland's school breaks, the Leisure Team offers a variety of kids' clubs, from arts and crafts to sports games for the entire family. Most of the clubs are free for children to participate, with the exception of a fee for cooking and arts and crafts clubs. All clubs that are chargeable will display the charge on the sign up sheets.

Kids Club

The leisure team organises and run the kids clubs. The kids club program will be available during the Scottish school holidays, with a reduced program available during other weeks depending on the number of children staying on the estate.


Clubs include arts and crafts, cooking, and family sports. The programme will be updated weekly, with sign-up sheets available at the start of each week.

During float time, the leisure team will have a variety of floats in the swimming pool for the family to enjoy.  Guests using the swimming pool under 16 will require an adult to supervise; they must be 18 or older and always remain on the poolside.  This ensures we comply with health and safety and our insurance. The pool is not supervised by staff on the poolside.


Horse Riding

The stables at Kilconquhar Castle provide a variety of services to ensure that we can accommodate riders of all abilities. You can find information on available lessons, treks, and hacks down below. When you contact the stables, they will be able to advise you on the best option depending on your skill level.


The stables are open for riding all year; however, pre-booking is required and must be done directly with the stables at 01333 340501, option 4.

The price will be charged at £18.50 per child for guest numbers of 14 or less; for parties with guests of 15 or more, the price will be discounted to £16.95 per child.

 

Scottish Tours

Whilst staying at Kilconquhar Castle Estate, enjoy an escape with one of the organised tours. Carefully planned by knowledgeable drivers who will personally engage with all passengers on the small coach, there are a number of different and interesting routes to choose from. Alternatively groups of up to 16 passengers can hire the coach and the driver for full or half day private excursions. Coaches are also available for airport or rail transfers, for more information on the tours or transfers, please contact the Leisure Team.

 

The coaches tours are provided by Capercaillie Travel.

The facilities are now open from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm daily. The times will change from November 2024.  This will be posted at the time.


Important Notes


*On Christmas Day the opening hours will alter, the pool closes at 5.00 pm, and the centre will close at 6.00 pm.
