With over 40 courses to choose from in our surrounding areas and the home of golf only a short 15 minute drive away from the Estate, Kilconquhar Castle is the ideal location for any keen golfer.
There are various golf courses available for all abilities and tastes and can range from championship courses to: historical courses; links courses; cliff-top courses; parkland courses and many more.
Here on the Estate you can practice your swing on our own private driving range or brush up on your putting skills before you venture out to tackle one of the many local courses. There is no need to cart all of your golfing gear on holiday with you as we have a selection of golf clubs available on site free of charge and if you are heading out for the day, we also have great preferential rates for golf club hire - delivered and collected directly to your accommodation for only £20.00 per day!

Golfing in St Andrews – The Home of Golf
The Old Course is obviously a very popular course which every golfer dreams of teeing off on. There are various options available in order to gain a tee time on the old course. The first option is to be well prepared for your visit and book a year in advance through St Andrews Links Advanced Reservations. Purchases for guaranteed tee times can also be made through St Andrews links “Old Course Experience”. The third option and probably the easiest one, is to enter the Daily Ballot - a lottery-style draw, which, if successful will gain the golfer a tee time for the following day. The last and final option is only available to single golfers, who can try and join a three at the starter on the day.
Please note that all golfers wishing to play on The Old Course must have a handicap of 24, for men, and 36, for women. A valid handicap certificate and current golf club membership must be shown on the day.
If you are one of the unlucky ones that cannot get a round of golf in at the famous Old Course, St Andrews does have another six links courses to choose from:
- The Castle Course
- The New Course
- The Jubilee Course
- The Eden Course
- The Strathtyrum Course
- The Balgove Course
For the non-golfers, the old course is closed for golfers and opens to the public on a Sunday so that you can take a stroll along the world famous course, taking in the awe inspiring views.
St Andrews Links Winter Golf Package 2011
This unique offer gives visiting golfers the chance to play three rounds on St Andrews Links, including a guaranteed round on the Old Course, and enjoy accommodation in Fife. The package also includes two other rounds to be played on two of the following Links courses: the New Course, the Jubilee Course, the Eden Course or the Strathtyrum Course (subject to tee time availability). The Castle Course can be included for an additional surcharge during April and October. Visitors will receive a £15 catering voucher which can be used in any of our clubhouses.
