Check-in for hotel room stays is from 3.00 pm, with check-out by 11.00 am. Guests are more than welcome to arrive before check-in and continue to enjoy the estate facilities after check-out on the day of departure. If you require access to your room earlier, or would like a later departure, please contact the team to arrange an early check-in or late check-out. Please note this is a chargeable service, offered on a limited basis and subject to availability. Priority is given in the order requests are received.

Breakfast is included as standard with all hotel room bookings. Breakfast service is available daily from 8.00 am until 11.00 am. If you require breakfast earlier, please pre-book a takeaway breakfast with our Food & Beverage team prior to arrival. For takeaway breakfast requests or enquiries, please contact the team at bistro@kilconquharcastle.co.uk or pop in to see them when you arrive.

Definitely, dogs are very welcome to join you during your stay at Kilconquhar Castle Estate. For guests wishing to dine with their dogs, we kindly ask that dog-friendly tables are booked in advance. Dogs must not be left unattended in accommodation at any time, for both their comfort and the consideration of other guests. A small surcharge of £15 per dog per stay applies, with a maximum of 2 dogs permitted per room.

We do offer dinner, bed and breakfast rates on selected dates throughout the year. Availability can be checked on our website booking page or by contacting our reservations team directly.

We offer a range of room configurations to suit different guest requirements and group sizes. Double Hotel Rooms Our Double Hotel Rooms feature one double bed and are designed for guests looking for a comfortable double occupancy stay. Please note these rooms cannot be configured as twin rooms. Double or Twin Hotel Rooms Our Double or Twin Hotel Rooms offer flexible bedding arrangements and can be prepared with either one double bed or two single beds. Unless a twin room request has been made prior to arrival, rooms will be set as a double room by default. If you require twin beds, please contact the team at least 24 hours before arrival so we can arrange this for you, subject to availability. Family Rooms Our Family Rooms provide flexible accommodation ideal for families travelling together. The main bed can be configured as either one double bed or two single beds, similar to our Double or Twin Rooms. If no request is received before arrival, the room will be prepared with a double bed as standard. Requests for twin beds should be made at least 24 hours prior to arrival. Family Rooms also include a double sofa bed suitable for up to two children. Please note that sofa beds are not generally recommended for adult use. If preferred, we may be able to provide a Z-bed instead, subject to availability and an additional hire charge. Please contact the team for further information or to discuss the best setup for your stay.

Double & Double or Twin Rooms Our double or twin hotel rooms offer either a step-in shower or a shower over the bath. Whilst we are happy to note guest preferences and requirements wherever possible, we are unable to guarantee a specific bathroom configuration prior to arrival. Family Rooms Please note that our Family Rooms feature step-in showers only and do not include bath facilities.

Accessibility varies across the estate depending on the room type and location. Some hotel rooms are accessed via a small number of steps and may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility. In addition, some rooms within the main castle building are located on ground floors and are accessed by stairs, as the building does not have a lift. As accessibility requirements can vary from guest to guest, we strongly recommend contacting the team prior to booking so we can discuss your individual requirements and help identify the most suitable accommodation option for your stay. Please note that whilst we do offer some ground floor accommodation options across the estate, none of our accommodation is specifically adapted for wheelchair access.

Our hotel rooms are located on the ground floor within the main castle building and are not specifically marketed as view rooms. The upper floors of the castle building are self-catering apartments and are therefore not allocated as part of our hotel accommodation. Whilst views from the hotel rooms themselves may vary, guests are welcome to enjoy the beautiful estate grounds throughout their stay. Kilconquhar Castle Estate offers plenty of outdoor space to walk, relax, and take in the surrounding East Neuk of Fife countryside, particularly during the warmer months.

Yes, our hotel rooms include towels along with complimentary body wash, hand soap, and shampoo for guests to use during their stay.

Complimentary parking is available for all guests staying on the estate, with four guest car parks located throughout the grounds.

Some of our hotel rooms are located on the ground floor within the main castle building. Other hotel rooms are situated to the side of the castle and feature their own private external entrances.

Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in all hotel rooms, with complimentary items replenished daily during your stay.

All requests for accommodation allocations are taken into consideration; however, we are unable to guarantee that rooms or accommodations will be located directly beside each other. We will always do our best to meet guest requests wherever possible, but this cannot be guaranteed. For group or multiple-room bookings, we strongly recommend booking directly with the estate so our team can offer advice on the most suitable room types and accommodation locations for your group requirements.

Our hotel rooms do not include a fridge as standard, however mini fridges may be available on request, subject to availability. Fridges are allocated on a first come, first served basis. If a fridge is required for medical reasons, please contact the team before placing your booking so we can confirm availability for your chosen dates prior to your reservation being completed.

A travel cot can be added to your hotel room stay for an additional charge. Up-to-date pricing details can be found within your pre-arrival information prior to your stay. A maximum of one travel cot can be accommodated in our Double and Double/Twin Hotel Rooms, and up to two travel cots can be accommodated in our Family Rooms, subject to space available. Infants sleeping in a travel cot are not included within the maximum occupancy of the hotel room.

Our hotel rooms are serviced daily between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. If you do not require your room to be serviced during your stay, please leave the housekeeping card outside your room to let the team know. If our housekeeping team is unable to access the room between these hours, unfortunately the room will not be serviced that day. Please also note that, for the safety and well-being of our staff, rooms cannot be serviced where dogs have been left unattended in the room.

Hotel rooms are located across two areas of the estate. Some rooms are situated within the ground floor of the main castle building, while others are located within a separate courtyard-style accommodation block with individual external entrance doors to each room. Room allocations are based on the room type booked and operational requirements. If you have a preference or mobility requirement, please contact the estate prior to arrival and our team will be happy to advise where possible.
