Sunday Lunch - The Lindsay Room
Fancy a lazy Sunday? We've got you covered; join us in the Lindsay Room starting on Sunday 18th, and spoil your taste buds with a tasty Sunday Roast.
On its grounds, Kilconquhar Castle has two restaurants that are open to both hotel guests and the general public.
The White Cockade Bistro
The White Cockade is a bistro-style restaurant named after the symbol of the Jacobites. It has a large selection of wines, beers, and spirits, as well as a variety of menus.
The Bistro is a great place for families with kids to eat. We have a special menu for kids so they can find something they'll like.
Every morning, from 8.30 am to 11 am, breakfast is served at the White Cockade. You can start your day with a continental breakfast of cereals, fruits, yoghurt, tea, coffee, and toast. This is followed by a cooked-to-order hot breakfast with a variety of fish, omelettes, and a full Scottish cooked breakfast with bacon, eggs, black custard, haggis, tomatoes, mushrooms, and eggs just the way you like them.
Starting at noon, you can order lunch as well as snacks from the menu, which will be available until 5 p.m. at night. On the menu, you can choose from baked potatoes, toasted sandwiches, and lighter bites.
From 5 p.m. until the last order at 8:45 p.m., the bistro serves a variety of menus, including a la carte, table d'hôte, and seasonal set menus. No matter what you choose, you can be sure that all of our dishes are made with fresh ingredients from the area and are full of flavour.
The Lindsay Room
Traditional elegance may be seen in the Lindsay room, which features wood panelling from the 16th century. Diners will delight in the rich fare and beautiful ambience provided by the inglenook fireplace and magnificent ceiling.
Every Wednesday*, you may enjoy a special three-course supper in the Lindsay Room. A reservation is required to guarantee a table in the Lindsay Room. The estate includes a complimentary breakfast for guests purchasing the three-course supper.
*Please also note that private bookings may change the night of the week on some dates.
Dietary Requirements
The team will always do their best to accommodate special dietary needs. If you want to discuss your requirements, contact them at 01333 340501 and choose option 3.
Pre-Booking
On weekends and holidays, the restaurants can get very busy. We strongly suggest that all guests book beforehand to avoid being let down. To book a table, call the Reservations Team on 01333 340501 and choose option 1 or email bistro@kilconquharcastle.co.uk.
Bookings with Dogs
Dogs that are well-behaved are welcome at the White Cockade Bistro. Please remember that we only have a limited number of dog-friendly tables available at night, so please reserve ahead of time by calling the bistro or noting that you have a dog on the online booking form.
At the White Cockade Restaurant, we can't get enough of our delicious steaks. On Tuesday evenings, we provide a two-course steak menu that includes a set appetizer, followed by a sirloin steak cooked exactly how you like it, served with chips and garnish, and accompanied with a sauce of your choice.
